Hello everyone!
I am this year’s Alumni & Chapter Correspondence Chair for my chapter and a current P3 at CNUCOP. My time with Rho Pi Phi at Upsilon Lambda has been overall a positive experience. From pledging with my class to having fun at social events to get closer to each brother, I feel that I gained another family, during my time at pharmacy school. Not once did I think I was going to join a fraternity, but instead what drew me in was the people. I gained new friendships, new knowledge, and a network of alumni and brothers from fellow chapters (shout out to the UOP brothers!). They made me feel welcomed and they made me feel comfortable about myself. As someone who identifies with the LGBTQ+ community, they did not care what my sexuality was; they allowed me to express who I am and I am thankful and appreciative of that. One of my favorite hobbies I picked is photography, and throughout my time with Rho Pi Phi, I was fortunate enough to capture some brothers who embodied what I think Rho Pi Phi is all about: being yourself in a group of people that welcome your true self. See some of the pictures here for yourself! |

I picked up a little the year after I crossed and also gained a new friend at that. We have much in common from our love of food and sweets to photography! Additionally, I have found a close group of friends I can call some of the best that have entered my life when I least expected it, and they chose to stay in my life.
Through my ups and downs, they have always been my support system through it all, and I couldn’t have asked for anyone else – you KNOW who you are. People come in and out of our lives, and the ones that choose to stay… hold on to them and be appreciative of their self because they are there for you. I love you guys, and this has TRULY been a great experience to have during my time at pharmacy school. |
